Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Los Angeles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Americanized Indonesian Food, Pricey for What You Get . If you're looking for authentic Indonesian flavors, this isn't the place. Most dishes lean heavily toward Americanized adaptations. The Good: The service was fast and friendly, portions are generous, and it’s Halal. If you do go, stick to the Fried Rice, Fried Kwetiau, or Nasi Bungkus, which come closest to traditional tastes. Avoid the Chicken Rice—it was completely bland and unappetizing. The Teh Botol is disappointing as well, made from instant tea mix rather than real bottled tea. Overall, it's quite pricey for adapted flavors. I won't be back and recommend saving your money for somewhere more authentic.

A highly rated restaurant that’s gained a lot of attention online, including on YouTube—and it lives up to much of the hype. The service stood out, with staff who were kind, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal. That said, I personally found many of the dishes leaned a bit too sweet for my taste. As a vegetarian, the options were somewhat limited, and I would have appreciated more variety with a stronger emphasis on savory flavors. Overall, still a positive experience. Given the limited number of Indonesian dining options in the area, it’s definitely worth trying—especially for the ambiance and service.

I've been coming here for the past 8 years, and I'm always pleased at the quality of food that comes out. From those who are newer to the Indonesian food scene to Indonesian natives, the friends that I've taken here have also enjoyed the experience a lot!

My son introduced me to Simpang Asia, and he was absolutely right—the food here was fantastic. The restaurant itself is cute and cozy, with a relaxed atmosphere and outdoor seating that makes it a great place to unwind and share a meal. We started with the Roti Paratha, which arrived warm and flaky alongside a rich curry dipping sauce. For shared plates, we ordered the Bali Sea Bass and Stir Fry Water Spinach. The sea bass was beautifully prepared with layers of spice and aromatics, plus just enough heat to keep every bite interesting. The water spinach arrived sizzling at the table, adding to the experience and making the dish feel fresh from the wok. For noodles, my son ordered his usual favorite, the Mie Tek Tek, while my daughter chose the Mie Ayam, which she thoroughly enjoyed. To drink, we had white wine, Terra beer, and a Thai iced tea that came with a cute presentation. There was a small hiccup when our beverages were forgotten, but the staff handled it well and kindly comped our appetizer, which we appreciated.

My first time to eat at Simpang Asia restaurant, when I visited my family in California at New Year 2026. Oh, it was super! The food was delicious, the restaurant was nice, and I had a good time eating and having fun with friends. The Bakso (meatball soup) and Sop Buntut (oxtail fragrant soup) are must-try. They both reminded me of my hometown in East Java. The menu was used to be more extensive, but they made it simpler. Still satisfying, though.
